AirData UAV has revealed a new partnership with Sony to offer an automated fleet data management solution for the Sony Airpeak S1 Drone. The collaboration aims to simplify various aspects of fleet management, including equipment data handling, mission planning, and compliance adherence for Sony's new drone.
AirData, who specializes in drone data analytics and UAV fleet management, believes this collaboration will particularly benefit Airpeak S1 pilots. “Sony’s Airpeak S1 boasts impressive camera, flight performance, and range capabilities,” stated AirData CEO, Eran Steiner. “Combined with AirData’s data analytics, mission planning, and flight safety features, pilots are positioned for an enhanced flying experience.”
The Airpeak S1, premiering Sony's Airpeak series, is the smallest drone able to support Sony’s full-frame Alpha mirrorless cameras and their interchangeable-lenses. The drone incorporates unique sensing, motor, propeller, and control technologies, ensuring high-speed flights remain stable even under windy conditions. Recent enhancements, including an RTK Kit, a novel gimbal, and an improved battery, have broadened the drone's utility for industrial applications in sectors like energy and communications.
Kento Sayama, Sony’s Deputy Vice President of Imaging Solutions, commented on the partnership:
“The Airpeak S1 is crafted for professionals across various industries. We view AirData as the ideal partner to help these professionals maximize the value of the drone’s data and streamline their fleet operations.”
Through the partnership, Airpeak users can now easily integrate their drones with AirData’s platform. This promises automatic flight data recording, efficient pilot management, maintenance oversight, and in-depth operational reports. Additionally, the collaboration extends to include advanced mission planning and a reliable low-latency Live Streaming solution offered by AirData.
