Anduril has announced the launch of Anvil-M, an enhanced munitions variant of its autonomous 'Anvil' interceptor drone, designed to counter threats from Group 1 and Group 2 unmanned aircraft systems. The Anvil-M comes equipped with a fire control module, making it the most potent version of Anduril's interceptor platform.
Developed in response to real-world combat feedback and insights from operational environments, Anvil-M is engineered to reliably engage and neutralize high-end, swift-moving group-2 threats. Anvil-M integrates into Anduril's Counter-UAS suite, which offers tailored configurations to suit diverse mission needs. Anvil operates as a ground-launched, low-collateral rotary-wing interceptor, autonomously identifying potential drone threats and furnishing visual data to human operators for verification.
A standout feature is the integrated 'Launch Box', enabling remote launching capabilities round-the-clock from any base location. Paired with Anduril's AI-driven software platform, Lattice, it offers an efficient counter-UAS solution, digesting aircraft data from multiple sensors, and allowing operators to respond swiftly.
Since 2017, Anduril has been dedicated to delivering autonomous solutions for national security challenges, closely collaborating with military personnel. As unmanned system threats continue to evolve rapidly, Anduril's Anvil-M is primed to offer a dynamic and adaptive countermeasure.
