In sync with DJI's latest unveiling of the DJI Dock 2, Aerial Vehicle Safety Solutions (AVSS) is stepping into the spotlight with its PRS-M3DT, a Parachute Recovery System specifically designed for the DJI M3DT and DJI M3D drones. This launch marks a significant milestone in enhancing safety measures for drones, particularly those operating in close proximity to people.
The PRS-M3DT system is engineered to offer a higher degree of safety for DJI Dock 2 users, catering to the growing demand for safer drone operations over populated areas. AVSS's launch comes as a relief to DJI dealers and end-users, who are keen on adopting DJI's "Drone-in-a-Box" solution without compromising on safety standards.
AVSS has opened the floor for pre-orders, with shipments to authorized resellers expected to start in June 2024. The company's offering is a comprehensive safety solution that includes a Parachute Recovery System (PRS), Flight Termination System (FTS), Automatic Triggering System (ATS), and a Manual Triggering Device (MTD), along with critical documentation to comply with EASA 2512 and ASTM F3322 standards.
Looking ahead, AVSS plans to enhance the PRS-M3DT with EASA 2511 compliance for Enhanced Containment, which includes a segregated FTS to prevent unauthorized drone operations near densely populated areas or airports. This enhancement is slated for release later in the summer, addressing the European Union Aviation Safety Agency's (EASA) requirements for drones operating in high-risk environments.
Mariah Murray, Vice President of Operations at AVSS, expressed excitement about the year ahead.
"2024 is set to be a transformative year for AVSS. The introduction of the PRS-M3DT not only aligns with DJI's latest product announcements but also reinforces our commitment to being the go-to Parachute Recovery System for DJI's fleet," she stated.
AVSS's announcement, in conjunction with DJI's launch of the Dock 2 and M3DT drones, underscores a collective effort towards safer and more reliable drone operations, offering peace of mind to dealers and end-users alike as they navigate the evolving landscape of drone technology.
