DJI, a leading player in drone technology, has expanded its agricultural lineup with the launch of three new drones in the Agras series – the T100, T70, and T70P. These new offerings, released exclusively in China, underscore DJI's ambition to revolutionize the agricultural sector with cutting-edge technology.
The flagship of the series, the Agras T100, is heralded as DJI Agriculture’s most efficient drone to date. This model is packed with advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) capabilities, setting a new standard for agricultural drones. Its design features the highest-rated takeoff weight and the most advanced safety system in DJI Agriculture's history.
The Agras T100 boasts impressive specifications, with a maximum takeoff weight of 149.9 kg, a spraying capacity of 75 liters, and a sowing capacity of 150 liters. The drone is powered by a robust coaxial twin-rotor configuration and 62-inch carbon fiber blades, propelling it to a flight speed of 13.8 meters per second. Safety features are abundant, with an integrated five-eye fisheye vision system, laser radar, and phased array radar for 360-degree obstacle detection and avoidance.
AI algorithms further optimize the T100's performance by intelligently mapping obstacles and refining flight paths. Meanwhile, AR capabilities enhance usability with real-time flight trajectory predictions and safe landing projections. These features collectively aim to provide a safer and more efficient experience for agricultural tasks like pesticide spraying and cargo transport.
The drone’s dual-nozzle system, capable of a 30-liter-per-minute flow rate and adjustable droplet sizes, ensures efficiency in pesticide application, especially in dense canopy areas. An optional mist nozzle offers precise, fine droplets for enhanced coverage. Additionally, the T100’s spreading system boasts a 150-liter capacity with an advanced auger mechanism to improve operational efficiency.
Beyond traditional farming, the Agras T100 is versatile enough to support transportation tasks in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. With an 85-kg lifting capacity and intelligent posture adjustments, it promises smooth cargo transport. A 9-minute fast-charging battery and energy-efficient design reduce costs while maximizing operational uptime.
The Agras T70 series, which includes the upgraded T70P model, is tailored to cater to a broader range of agricultural needs. With a 70-liter spraying load and extended battery life, these drones are equipped with AI-driven obstacle detection and AR-assisted flight navigation features. The T70 series offers a 65-kg lifting capacity, providing reliable performance for various agricultural applications.
DJI emphasizes the T70 series' improved energy efficiency, which markedly reduces operational costs. The optimized power system achieves a 25% savings in electricity and fuel, presenting a cost-effective solution for large-scale farming operations.
Shen Xiaojun, head of DJI Agriculture’s global market, highlights the company’s dedication to driving innovation in the agricultural industry. "DJI Agriculture provides users with safe, worry-free, affordable, and reliable products and timely and thoughtful after-sales service," Shen remarked. He added that as the industry expands and user demand increases, DJI Agriculture is committed to continuing to offer advanced and reliable solutions across agricultural, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery scenarios.
With the introduction of the Agras T100 and T70 series, DJI continues to reinforce its position as a leader in drone technology, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in agricultural productivity and efficiency. While these drones are currently available only in China, the move signals DJI's ongoing efforts to meet the growing demands of the global agricultural market.
