DJI, today announced the international launch of its latest agricultural drones, the Agras T50 and T25. These additions to the Agras line are set to enhance farming efficiency across scales, from small family farms to large agricultural operations.
The Agras T50 is engineered for large-scale farming, boasting a coaxial dual-rotor design and 54-inch propellers that provide unmatched stability and efficiency. Capable of carrying 40kg for spraying and 50kg for spreading, the T50 can cover up to 50 acres per hour, making it one of the most efficient drones in the market. Its dual atomization spraying system and convertible spreading capability are designed to meet the diverse needs of modern agriculture, from field crops to orchards.
In contrast, the Agras T25 is tailored for smaller operations, offering similar advanced features in a more compact and portable form. It supports up to 20kg spraying or 25kg spreading payloads, with capabilities such as multidirectional obstacle avoidance, Terrain Following, and ultra-fast battery charging. This makes it an ideal choice for solo farmers or those with smaller plots.
Both models integrate seamlessly with DJI’s upgraded SmartFarm app, which enhances crop protection and plot management through improved data visualization, dynamic device management, and comprehensive support resources available through DJI Academy.
Yuan Zhang, Head of Global Sales at DJI Agriculture, highlighted the impact of these drones on the sector. "With over 980 million acres treated worldwide, DJI continues to push the boundaries of precision agriculture. These new models will help farmers improve yields, reduce chemical use, and lower costs, all while minimizing environmental impact," said Zhang.
Technological advancements in the T50 include an upgraded four-antenna O3 Transmission system, which extends its operation range up to 2 kilometers, and dual radar and binocular vision sensors for enhanced obstacle detection and terrain adaptation. The T50 also features an optional four-sprinkler kit that can increase the flow rate to 24 liters per minute, essential for dense orchards requiring thorough coverage.
Both drones promise rapid turnaround times between flights, thanks to the DB1560 Intelligent Flight Battery that supports 9-minute fast charging, facilitated by the D12000iEP Multifunctional Inverter Generator and Air-Cooled Heat Sink.
DJI has also reaffirmed its commitment to data security, emphasizing that no flight logs, photos, or videos are automatically synced with DJI servers. Data privacy controls allow operators to manage how their information is stored and shared, ensuring compliance with international data security standards.
As DJI continues to innovate in the field of drone technology, the Agras T50 and T25 are set to become essential tools in the global pursuit of more efficient and sustainable agriculture.
