Israel-based Elbit Systems has confirmed that the Netherlands has awarded them a contract valued at approximately $55 million to provide its ReDrone Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) to the country, with the contract set to span four years.
Under the terms of the contract, the company is slated to deliver a variety of configurations of the ReDrone integrated C-UAS solution. This encompasses mobile, stationary, and deployed setups, complemented by a logistic support package and training sessions.
Elbit Systems’ ReDrone Solution integrates their state-of-the-art DAiR Radar, signal intelligence (SIGINT) sensors, and COAPS-L electro-optical (EO) equipment. This combination offers a comprehensive aerial overview and is equipped with advanced electronic attack capabilities, all managed through a singular Command and Control system.
The distinguishing feature of the ReDrone system is its ability to swiftly pinpoint and track multiple drones concurrently within a safeguarded zone. Its capabilities extend to the detection, identification, tracking, and neutralization of potential UAS threats. This is effective during both day and night, and its efficiency remains consistent across urban and rural landscapes, even under varying weather conditions.
Commenting on the agreement, Oren Sabag, General Manager of Elbit Systems ISTAR & EW, highlighted the increasing challenges posed by drones and expressed pride in the Netherlands’ decision to engage Elbit Systems for this solution, signaling a continuation of their longstanding collaboration.
