FlytBase, a leader in enterprise drone autonomy, has launched Flinks (short for FlytBase Links), a new platform feature designed to connect its drone operations platform with a multitude of third-party applications and devices. Flinks aims to streamline the integration of autonomous drone workflows into enterprise systems, enhancing efficiency and safety in operations.
The drone industry often faces challenges with system fragmentation, where different operational components lack interoperability. This can complicate processes like collision avoidance during beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations, and data transfer for analysis, making operations time-consuming and error-prone.
Flinks addresses these integration challenges by providing a unified layer that connects the FlytBase platform with essential business systems, including alarm systems, video management, and data processing applications. "Flinks enables effortless connection of the FlytBase platform with critical enterprise systems, allowing for the automation of complex manual processes and the seamless integration of autonomous drones into existing operations," explained Nitin Gupta, founder & CEO of FlytBase.
The Flinks system supports six types of integrations:
- Alarms: Integrating various alarm systems to deploy drones in response to incidents detected by motion sensors, fire alarms, and dispatch systems.
- Data Processing: Connecting to applications that create high-resolution maps, surface and 3D models, and customized reports.
- Live Streaming: Linking drone and dock video feeds with Video Management Systems (VMS) and other video analytics applications for enhanced site security and incident response.
- Mission & Logs: Exporting detailed drone mission data and logs to applications managing resources, batteries, and flight logs.
- Detect & Avoid: Integrating cooperative and non-cooperative aircraft detection systems to ensure airspace safety and regulatory compliance.
- UTMs: Connecting to uncrewed traffic management systems for real-time airspace awareness.
By expanding its library of Flinks, FlytBase invites organizations developing applications in areas like VMS, drone data processing, and flight safety systems to integrate with FlytBase. Partnering organizations can access FlytBase's extensive global network, which includes drone service providers, system integrators, and enterprise customers, thus expanding their market reach.
