Lilium, developers of the inaugural all-electric vertical take-off and landing jet, has begun private sales of its eVTOL jets for the U.S. market. This development comes in collaboration with EMCJET, a prominent aircraft brokerage and management entity. The agreement establishes EMCJET as Lilium's exclusive dealer in Texas for private sales, effective through the end of 2030.
This strategic alliance also encompasses a commitment from EMCJET for five production slots from Lilium. As a result, prospective buyers in the U.S. will have the opportunity to acquire some of the initial Lilium Pioneer Edition Jets. This move marks Lilium's debut into the expansive U.S. private aviation sector, adhering to their commercial strategy of initially targeting the premium market and subsequently venturing into the broader airline and passenger shuttle domain.
Having earned its reputation for proficiency in global aircraft transactions and services, EMCJET is geared towards providing clients with a refined experience in aircraft acquisition and sales. Although the Lilium Jet will be accessible across the U.S., the primary cities of focus within Texas include Austin, Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas. This decision corresponds with Texas' emphasis on sustainable transportation solutions that are both efficient and environmentally conscious.
Sebastien Borel, Chief Commercial Officer at Lilium, expressed optimism about their collaboration with EMCJET, highlighting the latter's credibility in the U.S. private premium jet market and their commitment to exceptional customer service.
Lilium's Pioneer Edition Jet, their initial version intended for a global audience of private individuals, is an all-electric eVTOL jet. It has been engineered with an emphasis on significant capacity, minimal noise, high performance, and zero emissions, catering specifically to regional connectivity.
Memo Montemayor, Founder & CEO of EMCJET, conveyed the company's anticipation to introduce Texas and the broader U.S. market to Lilium's avant-garde eVTOL technology. He underscored EMCJET's dedication to providing superior value and expertise in the realm of private aviation investments.
Lilium's arrangement with EMCJET signifies the company's fourth dealer on a global scale. Borel further commented on the enthusiastic reception from dealers and aircraft management enterprises, underscoring the collective goal to transition towards a more eco-friendly general aviation sector while ensuring operational efficiency.
