Sharper Shape, a powerline management solutions provider, has announced a contract with drone solutions leader Volatus Aerospace to launch its new drone service providers (DSP) management software. This platform, called CORE, provides drone service providers, arborists, and inspection companies with a digital solution for coordinating and managing data collection projects. The service focuses on the inspection of utility transmission and distribution systems, such as power lines, utilizing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
CORE offers a user-friendly experience through both a web browser and a mobile app, allowing real-time and remote use in the field. By leveraging this platform, drone operators can streamline the process of data collection, visualization, and sharing with their customers. It addresses common pain points associated with inspections, such as cumbersome planning and administrative processes, inconsistent systems and software, and offers a visually appealing interface that provides utilities with a clearer and real-time view of their assets.
Sharper Shape's VP of Sales and Commercial Processes, Kristy McDermott, explained,
"CORE allows drone operators the capability to transform how it collects, displays, and shares data with its customers. DSP CORE eliminates these pain points, and more, while offering a stunning user interface that translates data, giving utilities a clearer, real-time view of their asset."
Volatus Aerospace, a pioneer in transmission and distribution line UAV inspections, is the first company to partner with Sharper Shape for its DSP Management software solution. Known for its expertise in infrastructure inspection, mapping, and modeling services, Volatus operates in key sectors such as industrial inspection, precision agriculture, public safety, drone cargo logistics, and security and defense.
Frank Segarra, CEO of Volatus Aerospace's US subsidiary ConnexiCore, emphasized the significance of strategic partnerships with innovative solution providers in driving their growth. He stated,
"By harnessing the power of Sharper Shape's transformative software solutions, specifically their cutting-edge DSP Management software, CORE, we are poised to revolutionize the way we analyze and present data to our valued customers. This game-changing technology will optimize efficiencies across every aspect of our operations, cementing our position at the forefront of the industry."
The partnership between Sharper Shape and Volatus Aerospace signifies a mutual commitment to driving advancements in the industry. McDermott expressed excitement about having Volatus Aerospace onboard, stating, "CORE will allow them to elevate the already great work they do by offering their customers a solution that will save time and money, while improving operational efficiencies of their assets." This collaboration sets the stage for enhanced data-driven inspections and operational excellence in the drone services market.
