Sony has announced a partnership with Inertial Labs to develop a LiDAR system for its Airpeak drone, aiming to enhance the drone's capabilities in surveying, mapping, and cinematic videography. Inertial Labs, known for its sensor technology, will contribute its expertise to create a LiDAR system designed to improve the precision of aerial data collection.

Kento Sayama, Deputy Vice President of Imaging Solutions at Sony Electronics, emphasized the alignment of this partnership with Sony’s commitment to innovation. He mentioned that combining Inertial Labs' sensor technology with Sony’s drone technology aims to enhance the capabilities of the Airpeak drone.
