Wind River, a prominent company in delivering software for vital intelligent systems, has announced a strategic partnership with Horizon Robotics, a leading provider of energy-efficient computing solutions. The collaboration aims to enhance smart driving technologies, specifically advanced driver assist systems (ADAS) for consumer vehicles in China.

The collaboration between Wind River and Horizon Robotics is set to allow original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to benefit from a fully integrated ADAS hardware and software solution. The joint effort relies on Horizon's Journey series computing solutions, coupled with Wind River's cloud-to-edge portfolio.

Horizon's self-developed Journey series computing solutions cover all automated driving scenarios. With Wind River's assistance, this will include integrating various Wind River software products like VxWorks®, known for being a highly efficient real-time operating system, Wind River Helix™ Virtualization Platform, Wind River Linux, and Wind River Studio.
