Asylon, a leading innovator in drone technology, has achieved a significant regulatory milestone with the recent approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations. This approval marks a major advancement for Asylon's DroneSentry system, an American-made drone-in-a-box solution, enhancing its application across various industries.
This latest FAA approval allows Asylon to operate its drones without the need for on-site personnel during flights at customer locations, building on eight previous FAA waivers for its turnkey security drone service. To date, Asylon has successfully completed over 40,000 fully automated commercial security drone missions, demonstrating the system’s safety and effectiveness under diverse conditions.
Brent Mclaughlin, Co-Founder and COO of Asylon Robotics, expressed his enthusiasm about the new capabilities this approval brings. "This approval is the golden ticket of the industry, it is what every major player has been working towards. The BVLOS waiver and removal of the need to have on-site personnel opens up our capabilities, flexibility, and ability to meet customer needs at the scale they’re requesting. This success is a testament to the Asylon team’s consistent delivery of 24/7 operations for our customers and our safety-first dedication," he stated.
A key feature of this approval is the integration of Asylon’s 24/7 Robotics Security Operations Center (RSOC), which serves as the Remote Pilot in Command for nationwide drone operations. This setup ensures continuous monitoring and management of drone flights, providing an extra layer of safety and reliability.
The BVLOS operations are set to revolutionize the drone industry by facilitating a wide range of new applications and capabilities. This milestone positions Asylon at the forefront of the emerging drone marketplace, setting new standards for operational safety and performance in nationwide drone operations.
