One customer noted the swift and safe delivery of fragile items like eggs, while another expressed delight in receiving items like fresh guacamole and candy in just 15 minutes. The service has become more than a novelty, evolving into a daily convenience for essentials.
Wing's data indicates a growing trend in drone delivery usage, with regular customers placing orders around 2 times per week, and the top 25% averaging approximately 3 orders weekly. The average flight time recorded is a mere 5 minutes, underscoring the rapid nature of the service.
Wing's recent regulatory approvals, including the first-ever environmental approval by the FAA for an entire metro area, pave the way for expanding beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations.
