The partnership aims to equip warfighters with sophisticated drone swarms for continuous reconnaissance on enemy targets, leveraging the battlefield-proven capabilities of Red Cat’s Teal Drones. These drones have recently undergone successful electronic warfare testing in Ukraine, showcasing resilience against advanced counter UAV technologies.

This collaboration aims to bolster maritime defense by integrating Red Cat’s drone technology with OPT’s autonomous marine platforms, PowerBuoy® and WAM-V®.

This collaboration is set to introduce an advanced AI-driven voice control technology, Anura, into Red Cat’s drone platforms, starting with the Teal 2 drones.

The contracts are focused on supplying Teal 2 systems to the U.S. Border Patrol to facilitate enhanced aerial reconnaissance, surveillance, and tracking capabilities.

The U.S. Air Force Security Forces, responsible for safeguarding Air Force bases, made the request. They will receive 172 units of the Teal 2, accompanied by spare parts and necessary training.

Teal Drones, a subsidiary of Red Cat Holdings, secures $1.2M additional funding for the U.S. Army's Short Range Reconnaissance program to develop a new prototype, aiming to provide platoons with rapidly deployable surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities.

This approval allows the Teal 2 to join the exclusive group of DoD-approved drones for government users, known as the Blue UAS Cleared List.
